“Fermat’s Cuisine” Anime Drops Main PV Featuring OP Theme, Plus Exciting Pancho & Kurashiru Collabs!

The highly anticipated TV anime “Fermat’s Cuisine,” (Fermat no Ryouri) based on the manga by Yugo Kobayashi, has just unveiled its main visual and a captivating full promotional video (PV)!

These exciting reveals took place today, June 15th, at the advance screening event for Episode 1, held at Cine Libre Ikebukuro in Tokyo. The newly released main visual depicts Gaku with sparkling eyes, holding out a plate of Neapolitan pasta, with the charismatic chef Kai and the rest of Restaurant K’s staff behind him. The visual is accompanied by the compelling tagline: “Mathematics × Cooking – This is My Formula (Recipe).”

The new PV kicks off with a pivotal scene where Gaku, who had given up on his path as a mathematician, is told by Kai, “Your mathematical thinking is for cooking!” The video then beautifully captures Gaku’s immersion into the world of cuisine following this encounter, all set to the rhythm of OSHIKIKEIGO’s opening theme song, “Maillard.”

Exciting Collaborations Revealed!

Further details have also been announced regarding the previously teased collaboration with Spaghetti no Pancho, set to begin in late June.

  • In-Store Promotion: From June 28th to July 20th, “Fermat’s Cuisine” collaboration posters will be displayed in Pancho restaurants.
  • Voice Actor Broadcasts: At select locations, Ryosuke Tomita (voice of Gaku) will introduce both the opening theme song and DXTEEN’s ending theme song “Change Over” via in-store broadcasts.
  • Exclusive Stickers: The first customers to say “Fermat no Pancho” to staff will receive an exclusive sticker!

In addition, it was announced that a recreation recipe for Neapolitan pasta will soon be released on the recipe video service Kurashiru.

Comic Natalie will be publishing a report on the Episode 1 advance screening later today. Ryosuke Tomita (Gaku), Taito Ban (Kai), and DXTEEN were all in attendance at the event.

“Fermat’s Cuisine” is a “mathematical entertainment” series that follows Gaku Kitada, a genius young mathematician who abandoned his dream of becoming a mathematician. He then challenges the fiercely competitive world of cooking alongside the mysterious and charismatic chef Kai Asakura. The anime promises a unique blend of mathematical genius and culinary artistry.

The series is set to begin its broadcast on July 5th on TV Asahi’s nationwide 24-station “IMAnimation” block, and on July 6th on BS Asahi.
