Blue Box Chapter 199 Spoilers: Something happens with Ayame during the sightseeing…!?
Things are starting to get a little unsettling…
A mysterious person has moved in next door to Chinatsu’s apartment.
We get a glimpse into Ayame’s conflicted feelings, along with the even harder-to-read thoughts of Haruto and Kyo, and Hina’s growing awareness of Ayame.
Could this school trip be when Ayame realizes she’s not in love with Takasago—and at the same time realizes she’s actually in love with Kyo?
⸻
While stretching, Hina sees Haruto, Kyo, and Ayame together and becomes gloomy.
Soon after, Haruto unexpectedly speaks to her for the first time in a while, surprising her.
He asks her to buy him a protective charm (omamori) as a souvenir from the school trip.
Hina wonders what obligation she has to do that for him—why not just ask Taiki instead?
But Haruto says that’s not an option.
He then reveals that the charm is for victory—for beating Taiki in the Inter-High preliminaries—but leaves without waiting for her response.
⸻
Meanwhile, Ayame is handling her duties as the team manager when her ex-boyfriend shows up and tries to strike up a conversation.
He invites her to hang out again, but Ayame turns him down, saying she has a boyfriend.
He says he already knows about Takasago.
He teases her, saying she’s gotten way too serious lately—both in club activities and in love.
Ayame calmly responds, “People change.”
After the ex leaves, Ayame, clearly irritated, drops her belongings.
One of Takasago’s friends picks up a pair of scissors she dropped, and Ayame thanks him with a gentle smile.
Seeing Ayame like that, the friend went to Takasago and urged him, “Go check on her. Be there for her.”
⸻
Later on, Ayame ends up alone with Taiki and asks him how long he’s liked Chinatsu.
Taiki answers: four years.
Ayame compares that to her longest relationship—her current one with Takasago—which is only four months.
She reflects that Takasago, unlike her previous boyfriends, is incredibly kind and truly a good person.
She says she’s come to want a relationship like her older sisters have—where both people truly cherish one another.
As Ayame speaks, Taiki briefly glances toward Kyo.
Meanwhile, Ayame still hasn’t had any interaction with Kyo at all.
⸻
Back at home, Chinatsu is cooking dinner and sends a picture of the finished meal to Taiki.
At that moment, the mysterious new neighbor moves in next door and comes to greet Chinatsu with a baumkuchen cake.
What happens after that is left unknown.
⸻
The scene shifts to the school trip departure day.
Taiki is having fun talking with Kyo, Ayame is with Takasago, and Hina chats happily with Niina as they head to Kyoto.
